91 Vinous Media Vivid ruby. Spice-accented aromas of black raspberry and cherry cola and a subtle floral overtone. Bright and focused on the palate, offering lively red and blue fruit flavors complicated by cracked pepper and cola nuances and smoky minerality. Finishes with solid, spicy punch, subtle tannins and strong, floral-tinged persistence. 2022-2028

90 View from the Cellar The Nuestro “8 Meses” Tinto is composed entirely from tempranillo and aged for eight months (as the name suggests) in French oak barrels, prior to bottling. The 2018 version comes in at 14.5 percent octane and offers up an attractive bouquet of black cherries, cigar wrapper, a nice base of soil tones, espresso, spices tones redolent of clove and nutmeg and a deft framing of cedary oak. On the palate the wine is bright, full-bodied and nicely soil-driven, with a good core of fruit, moderate tannins and fine length and grip on the nascently complex finish. These vineyards lie at more than nine hundred meters above sea level and this can be felt in the backend bounce and vibrancy. Good juice. 2023-2045+.
